Shri Gauridutt Mittal Junior College is run under the aegis of “The Balak Education Societyâ€Â.“The Balak Education Society.†was formed in the backdrop of India’s struggle for independence. It was therefore logically guided by the old adage:‘Education makes people easy to lead, but difficult to drive.Easy to govern, but impossible to enslaveâ€Â.
The “Balak Education Society†was founded in the year 1936, with the primary objective of providing value-based, relevant and good education intertwined with character building and inculcating a spirit of national fervour among the students. Till MAY 1966, the School was run in a rented building at Matunga under the name of “BALAK MANDIR HINDI HIGH SCHOOLâ€Â.
