About G. D. Somani Memorial School

G.D. Somani Memorial School opened its doors in 1975 to 250 students under the SSC system of education of the Maharashtra State Board. The school is the brainchild of well-known industrialists and philanthropists, B. D. Somani and G.D. Somani, renowned for their contributions to education in India.

Today, G. D. Somani is a co-educational institution with 1400 students and offers the ICSE system of education. Our first batch of 119 ICSE students graduated in 2006 – 17 students scored 90% and above, 84 secured distinctions, while 35 received First Class.

G. D. Somani Memorial School Required Documents

Students seeking admission to any standard will be tested for admission in the school and the Principal’s decision shall be final.
Students who join the school have to produce a valid birth certificate in support of the date of birth entered in the admission form. The admission of students from unrecognised schools is subject to departmental approval.
Students who have attended any recognised school will not be admitted without a Leaving Certificate from the school last attended.
Fees once paid are not refundable or transferable.
Students once admitted cannot be withdrawn without one month’s notice or on payment of one month’s fee in lieu of notice.
School Leaving Certificates shall not be issued unless all school dues are paid and all books and articles belonging to the school have been returned.
The Principal reserves the right to suspend any student if their behaviour or progress is unsatisfactory.
