We provide adequate games as well as sports facilities to learners including individual coaching. It also presents an opportunity to develop leadership as well as organising skills among the learners. This helps the learners to strike a fine balance between competition as well as collaboration. All learners are divided into 5 houses Subroto, Arjan, Pratap, Latif as well as Katre. The School follows the House System. Club, Quiz Club, Rasayan Club as well as Consumer Awareness Club. We encourage the learners to participate in various clubs like Debating Club, Interact Club, Heritage Club, E.V.S. In addition to classroom teaching, we have various avenues of learning such as excursions, camps, dramatics, debates, elocution, quiz, group learning etc. We use various teaching technologies including information technology. We have audio visual labs for making teaching as well as learning processes more effective. The school is affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education as well as is a member of the National Progressive Schools Conference (NPSC). The Air Force School is a co-educational public school with boarding facilities for boys of classes VI to XII. Thereby it satisfies a long-felt need of the Air Force personnel as well as simultaneously presents quality education to a much wider spectrum of children, from all over the country. Although the school was established primarily for the benefit of children belonging to the IAF personnel, it has always been open towards Army as well as Navy personnel as well as to Civilians. In the 15 acre area of the school, there are numerous varieties of Bougainvillea, ranging from the common Pink to the rare lovely Mary Palmer which blossom throughout the year. The School is situated on the Aravali ridge - amidst picturesque surroundings - lined by rows of majestic Eucalyptus as well as Ashoka trees. The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 1980. In May 1967, the school shifted to its present Aravali premises at Subroto Park, Delhi Cantt. The Air Force School (TAFS) was established in temporary wartime hutments at Wellington Camp, Club Road, New Delhi on 18 July 1955 with the aim of providing comprehensive modern education to children of personnel of the Indian Air Force.
